Our History
Merrill Industrial Electric was founded by master electrician Scott Merrill in 2010 after a long career learning the industry. We began as a one-man operation out of Scott’s house, where he would take calls from customers who needed electrical work done at their businesses. Over time, demand increased and we grew as a result, gaining more and more skilled electricians.
We eventually moved to a dedicated building and continued to build our customer base. We’ve developed longstanding relationships with many of our customers thanks to our unrivaled craftsmanship, care, and responsiveness to customer needs on every project. Thanks to our specialized experience, our clients regularly rely on us to help troubleshoot and repair their HVAC controls and VFDs.
To best serve our community, we reached out to Yaskawa, one of the leading manufacturers of VFDs, and became an authorized distributor for their drives. Today, we’re the only Yaskawa distributor in the KC area and most of Kansas and Missouri.
